Mystery and Crime Stories

My Full name is Angel Joel Melendez. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 7th, 1981, but raised in South Florida. I grew up mostly in Little Havana, a section in Miami. I was an only child until I was 13 which gave me a lot of time to myself. I mostly read and got into trouble even when no one was looking. Someone would always eventually find out.

I read mostly Stephen King which molded my young mind into a cesspool from which creative terrors dragged themselves out into the world sometime in my sophomore year of high school. I started writing short stories then instead of paying attention in class. As the years passed I branched out in my studies of fiction to include such authors as Richard Matheson, Ray Bradbury and Phillip K Dick. I had a new appreciation for Horror and Sci Fi written inside a span of about 30 years starting from the late 40's to the mid 70's. Currently I'm working on getting published in print.

I hope to one day publish all my short stories and maybe write a few books for everyone to enjoy.
